Eight graduates of the MBA course „Entrepreneurship“ conducted by the Aachen Institute of Applied Sciences AcIAS e. V., Dueren, and the University of Applied Sciences Aachen have successfully completed the extra occupational course this year. Four of the students have now received their degree's „Master of Business Administration“ issued by the prorector research and development Prof. Dr. Christiane Vaeßen and of the President of the coordination council Prof. Dr. Johannes Gartzen. The remaining three graduates were unfortunately not able to join due the award ceremony to professional or family reasons.
It was the first time that a handing over of MBA certificates has taken place in a company in Dueren, at Isola GmbH. Prof. Christiane Vaeßen commented that as a result of this partnership with Isola GmbH the University of Applied Sciences Aachen will look closely at working with other local companies in the future . Isola's general manager Karl Stollenwerk, in his role as host of the gala, emphasized the hitherto successful co-operation of the enterprise he manages with several institutes of the University of Applied Sciences. Prof. Johannes Gartzen, well-known for being a driver of such co-operations, underlined in his greeting the opportunities, which arise from the excellent skills gained from the Bachelors and Masters and now from MBA graduates.
Co-operation was also the keyword of a compelling presentation held by Prof. Dr. Dr. Franz-Josef Radermacher as keynote speaker. Prof. Radermacher, Head of the Research Institute for Applied Knowledge Processing Ulm and one of the key supporters of the Global Marshall Initiative, stated that the big challenges in the world call for a collaboration of those responsible and that education is the key of social balance in many countries. Today a well-performing general health system, a good infrastructure and many other elements that are features of social democracies are connected to culture and education.
