Letter from our CEO - Japan Earthquake

Dear Valued Customer,

As you know, the supply chain in Japan remains unsettled, and I wanted to keep you updated on our situation. Generally, I would say the supply outlook is encouraging, but the costs of some raw materials are expected to increase.

The recent arrivals of critical raw materials, which had been ordered and shipped prior to the earthquake, provide us with sufficient inventories to meet demand, based on historical levels, through the end of May at which time we believe the supply chain will have at least partially recovered. Some specific comments on each of our key raw materials are provided below:

Glass Fabric: Our weavers of glass fabric have sufficient yarn on hand and available manufacturing capacity to meet anticipated demand for at least another month. This continued production, combined with our own inventories, should be adequate to meet our expected demand for glass fabric through the end of May.

The glass supply chain is starting to get back on line. Nittobo, a key provider of high quality glass yarns and fabrics, is scheduled to begin a gradual start up of thin-glass yarn next month, and their fabric plant has begun limited production.

Our weavers have also advised us of pending double-digit price increases. We believe they will raise prices until yarn capacity and production are restored to pre-disaster levels. We have received no advice as to when full production of yarn will resume in Japan.

Epoxy Resin: We currently anticipate no shortages of BT-resin. Our existing inventories and receipt of a shipment that sailed before the earthquake will provide sufficient BT-resin to meet demand for at least another 2 months. Mitsubishi is expected to restart limited production for BT-resin in early April.

Copper Foil: The situation remains unchanged from our last update: we do not expect any supply issues with this material.

Our Global Supply Chain team continues to review the situation daily. We will continue to keep you updated as the situation changes.

Sincerely,

Ray Sharpe

President and Chief Executive Officer
